Printing FAQs

Digital printable files How do I print Printing Information

Many people ask "How do I print one of your images once I purchase it?", so I wrote some FAQs that will hopefully cover all questions that may come up.  If you have a question and don't see it addressed here, please contact me!  I'm happy to help!

PRINTING FAQs

►How do I print the digital printable file once I receive it?

Print your digital file just like you would a photograph! Simply download the print to your computer (make sure you DOWNLOAD it, and don't just save the preview image), then you can....
• Print it at home (depending on the paper size, of course)
• Send the print to your favorite photo lab to print (see below for suggestions)
• Save to a USB thumb-drive and take to your local print store to be printed

►Will my print come out looking exactly like what I see in my screen?

There can always be some variation between the screen and a physical print - from colors to details. We can not guarantee the quality of home printing or your selected print lab company - all printers and print labs are not equal in quality. For best results, request a sample print from your selected print lab to ensure they have the capability to print your items in the beautiful colors and quality that you have received on your file from us.

►What paper should I print on?

Print your digital file just like you would a photograph -- on white paper. I suggest having it printed at a professional photo lab to ensure the best quality, and to not use up all of your printer ink!

►What paper finish should I choose?

It is always suggested to choose a non-glossy finish (ex: matte). Glossy can create a glare, darken colors, and will pick up finger prints

►What media can I print my digital print on?

Print on any media you'd like!
• photo poster
• poster board
• poster then mount it to a board
• canvas*
• photo books
• photo gifts (mousepads, coffee mugs, phone covers, magnets, greeting cards, etc)
• share on social media (Please give me credit with the hashtag #PRINTSbyMAdesign)
The possibilities are endless with digital files! (and so are the number of times you use it)
*If you're going to turn your digital printable file into a canvas, you need extra space around the sides for the wrap. Many print labs offer a black or colored edge.

►How many times can I print my digital printable file?

Since you're receiving a digital print (not a physical one), you can print it as many times as you want!
*Digital files are for personal use only. You are welcome to print it for yourself or as a gift, but you CAN NOT resell it in part or whole - either in a digital or printed format.

►I'm going to use my digital print as a photo prop. Do you have any suggestions?

If framing a photo prop, place the print in front of the glass to help reduce the glare. Choose a non-glossy finish to reduce glare.

Info on Print Labs (where to have your file printed) will be in another blog post... coming very soon!

Hopefully I answered any questions you may have about printing.  If not, shoot me a message!  THANKS!
